After a successful fifteen-year career in the tech industry and noticing the amount of exposure her two young boys were giving to their tech devices Priyanka Raha took her passion for technology and her children’s future and launched her startup, PopSmartKids in February 2018. With PopSmartKids, she is driving the Mentoring-Over-Monitoring revolution and is committed to promoting digital citizenship and responsible online behavior. In June 2019, the company will officially launch PopSmartWrite, an interactive learning tool for children to create stories through writing.
Priyanka holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics and Telecommunication) and an MBA in Strategy and Systems from Purdue University. She has worked and lived in nine cities across India, US, and Europe, before settling in Seattle, which she calls home now. A core member of the Female Founders Alliance and other female founder communities, she is a zealous supporter of women founders and women in tech. This year she spoke about mindful and meaningful tech at the Women in Tech Regatta Seattle.

I’m going to challenge you on something today. Are you ready?
I want to know how you get caught up in distraction from action?
Do you get stuck in vicious loops of email → social media → checking work data and never actually dig into the projects that will take your business or career to the next level?
Or maybe your vicious loop looks more like pick up toys → clean up kitchen → change laundry → check phone, over and over all day long?
Or what about the constant loop of researching → planning → list making?
Or maybe you make rules for yourself that distract you from the action - like, “I must wash all our baseboards and organize my closet before I start my [book/blog/podcast/apply for a job/write the email asking for a raise].”
Sound familiar???
All of this is a distraction from the action - busyness that serves as a facade for productivity. We mistake tasks and to do’s for goals and action steps. There is a huge difference though.
Tasks and to do’s don’t take a closer to realizing our dreams. In fact, they are often hiding places and safe spaces that hold us back from our dreams.
Conversely, goals and action steps are critical steps toward accomplishments that reap great benefits - much greater than clean baseboards.
Listen in to learn 5 steps to engage in MORE ACTION and LESS DISTRACTION.

She is also an author, speaker, parent coach, and former teacher who helps women live more intentionally, more confidently and more deeply connected to those they love using the transformational power of The 5 Seasons Strategy. Over a decade later, she is healthy, happy, and only two countries from reaching her life goal of visiting 50 countries before she turns 50.
This is Leanne’s second time on the show and she always brings all the goosebumps and truthbombs, so I couldn’t be more excited to have her back to share her brilliance once again!

Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Nicole DeBoom was a standout swimmer, qualifying for the 1988 Olympic Trials and later graduating from Yale University. She decided to pursue the sport of triathlon, and a lucky seat assignment introduced her to her future husband, Tim DeBoom (who would later become a 2-time Hawaii Ironman World Champion), on a flight to the 1995 Triathlon World Championships. Nicole started racing professionally in 1999, racking up countless podium finishes. During the final stage of her racing career in 2004, Nicole created and introduced something that had never been done before – the very first running skirt.
Shortly afterward, Nicole went on to launch Skirt Sports with the mission of helping women find inspiration, confidence, and courage through the transformative power of running and fitness. Today, Skirt Sports is a national women’s apparel brand offering a full line of products that fit real women’s bodies and support their busy running lives. Currently, you can find Nicole chatting with customers at the Skirt Sports Boulder flagship store, helping women change their lives through her non-profit organization Running Start, interviewing visionaries for her popular podcast Run This World and chasing around her 7-year-old girl, Wilder.
Nicole’s energy is as big and dynamic as her racing career. I think you’re going to love this conversation as much as I did!

Keep telling yourself, “I’m stuck, I’m lost, I’m confused, I don’t know my passion…
Your words matter and your thoughts matter.

If you tell yourself you’re learning and exploring and gaining clarity, you’ll start noticing new things around you. You’ll start seeing things in a new light. You’ll feel your perspective shift – because you’ve given yourself permission to be open to the process of growth, rather than staying shut off and unable to bring in a new energy.
You must stop blocking the very energy you need to get unstuck, the very energy you need to start finding yourself.

If I’m telling the truth, I used to think affirmations were kinda ridiculous. In fact, a few years ago I tried doing affirmations every morning, as prescribed by someone else, and I just felt like a total fool.
About a year ago, I decided to give them another go – on my own terms. After some thoughtful consideration, I declared 13 affirmations that felt authentic to who I am. They felt a little uncomfortable, yes, but they felt concrete and actionable and in alignment with my core values – which actually felt powerful and exciting instead of ridiculous.
I have been writing affirmations pretty much daily for almost a year and I’ve seen my desire and ability to take confident and courageous action SKYROCKET. Since my technique has been feeling good and getting me actual tangible results, I thought it would be worth sharing with you.
Listen in to hear 9 steps to creating meaningful affirmations that become actual TRUTHS in your life. These are the actual steps I have taken to create the affirmations that I write #everydamnday – the affirmations that are actually deeply, positively impacting my daily life and my ability to reach my biggest goals ever.
